Yes, Bow Wow is the new co-host of 106 and Park. We must say that this is surprising as we thought BET would look for someone that can be taken seriously as a host interviewing the notables. Bow Wow accepting the hosting gig at 106 And Park only furthers the belief by many that his music career is a dying one in the dumps.
Why would a “successful,” young music artist “in his prime” take on a full-time gig hosting a music countdown show ? It’s a thought that cannot escape the mind of even the dullest. You just got to wonder if things are this bad for Bow Wow financially and does 106 And Park pay this well. Bow Wow’s first day of hosting 106 And Park along with radio personalities(all above) Paigion, Shorty Da Prince and Miss Mykie was far from impressive. But don’t tell this to Bow Wow, because this is a young man with confidence straight through the roof unable to meet with reality, here is what Bow Wow had to say on being the new co-host of 106 And Park:

Unfortunately, on the first day of co-hosting 106 And Park, Bow Wow and his threesome co-hosts, were not in-sync with each other, and their lack of grooming and un-professionalism came across strongly- especially that of Bow Wow in his need of constantly showboating and dropping slangs in his speech before the audience and camera. BET Networks revealed today that the new hosts of “106 & PARK” will be Bow Wow, Ms. Mykie, Paigion and Shorty Da Prince. Having the most appearances in the show’s 12 year show history as well as guest hosting several times, Bow Wow also known as “Mr. 106 & PARK” will follow in the steps of previous hosts, A.J. Calloway, Free, Terrence J. and Rocsi.
Bow Wow, 25, will greet television’s ‘livest’ studio audience alongside “The Search” winners, Ms. Mykie, 23; Paigion, 24; and Shorty Da Prince, 23. After three months of co-hosting the show with Terrence J., Rocsi and a number of celebrity co-hosts, Ms. Mykie, hailing from Houston, TX, Paigon, and Shorty Da Prince, both repping Detroit, Michigan, beat out thousands of host hopefuls to earn their spot as the new co-hosts of “106 & PARK.” They will join Bow Wow 5 nights a week to bring the best of urban/pop culture, hottest music videos and A-list celebrity guests to BET viewers.
“We chose to break the mold. These 4 talented folks will bring spirit, fresh perspective and crazy fun to the 106 & Park stage. Shorty, Paigion and Miss Mykie are clearly stars and luckily for us, started gelling as a collective during The Search,” said Stephen Hill, President of Music Programming and Specials, BET Networks. “On the sneak tip, we were pursuing Bow Wow hoping he might be interested.
