In life, you will come across many people and have many of them saying that they are your friends, you will even see many people claiming to have over 100 friends, case and point, Face Book, but the fact is, it’s difficult to find a trusting person that is loyal and sincere. The reality is, the majority of us only have a few friends we can rely on and who we are in consistent contact with and look to in the time of need whether that be emotional support or financial, and this is what separates the phony friendship from the genuine.
If you know anything about Birdman(Ceo of Cash Money Record Label), he is known for calling his cast of artist on his record label ”his family,” but when he was recently asked about Bow Wow’s financial troubles, Birdman’s response was that it was not his business, essentially. Even more, Birdman was unaware that Bow Wow is signed to his record label, and had to be reminded by one of his staff of Bow Wow’s current existence on Cash Money’s roster of artist. You would think that with the constant stream of shout outs Bow Wow has been giving Cash Money at every opportunity he gets that Birdman would remember that Bow Wow is a signed artist on his record label.
Here is Birdman’s response when asked about Bow Wow’s financial situation:
“When Birdman was reached by reporters in New York seeking clarification regarding Bow Wow’s reported income, the CEO was seemingly unaware that Bow Wow was actually signed to the label. Birdman had a perplexed look on his face and responded by saying “What that gotta do with me?” it wasn’t until an assistant reminded him that Bow Wow was indeed signed to the label that Birdman acknowledged Bow Wow’s existence. YMCMB has a roster of over 13 artists, but only 4 of them have released albums in the past 3 years.”
