Its her again, yes, Katy Perry. I don’t know about you guys, It’s becoming a bit tiring for me in seeing Katy Perry on just about every magazine I look at. Its just all in our faces, its not like, you want a magazine cover featuring Katy, here you go, her face is just plastered everywhere for us not to miss. And her recent cover with Vanity Fair is no different, here she is above, posing for the magazine and sat down for some Q&A’s. Check them out:
She speaks on her career:
“My career is like an artichoke. People might think that the leaves are tasty and buttered up and delicious, and they don’t even know that there’s something magical hidden at the base of it. There’s a whole other side [of me] that people didn’t know existed.”
On her upbringing:
“I didn’t have a childhood, adding that her mother never read her any books except the Bible, and that she wasn’t allowed to say “deviled eggs” or “Dirt Devil.”
On being terrified of Planned Parenthood:
“Growing up, seeing Planned Parenthood, it was considered like the abortion clinic. I was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there…. I didn’t know it was more than that, that it was for women and their needs. I didn’t have insurance, so I went there and I learned about birth control.”

Katy Perry can now ad another achievement to her list of accomplishments for 2010. “California Gurls” was the best-selling digital song of 2010 with an almost 4.4 million in sales since being released last summer. And the announcement of this news comes at a time “Firework,” her grammy nominated Dream disc, regains the No. 1 spot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.
The success, highlight moments and new adventures just keep pouring in for Perry as she recently got a guest spot on the popular CBS show How I Met Your Mother and just over the past week she collected two awards at the People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Online Sensation. Lets see what she does for 2011. Time will only tell what she has in store for 2011.
