As you may have already heard, Mariah Carey is the new judge on American Idol, accepting a reported 12 million for the season, but Nick Cannon reportedly is pissed that his diva wife took the gig against his orders. Clearly Nick did not get the memo that a diva cannot be controlled nor be changed . Idol is a direct competitor of the America’s Got Talent(AGT), which Nick is a host of and reports are that Nick tried to convince Mariah not to take the judging gig over at Idol for the prime reason of avoiding the tough competition AGT would face with Idol.
Not only was Nick allegedly trying to pursuade Mariah with words not to sign with Idol, its also being said that Nick offered Mariah a one-time gift of $15 million dollars not to sign with Idol. Crazy ? maybe, maybe not, with some celebrities nothing is really unthinkable today when it comes to money. They think it buys love and happiness and will sell their souls if they have to in gaining that big salary.

“While he’s publicly said “she’s gonna be amazing on ‘Idol,’” an insider said that “privately, Nick’s gritting his teeth and dead-set against her taking the job. He was dangling incentives – diamond jewelry, a luxurious spa vacation, even promising to pay her a one-time ‘gift’ of $15 million for saying no. Nick wants her to be a stay-at-home mom to their twins, at least until they turn 5. He was even hoping to have another baby, but Mariah has effectively scorched that dream.”
If all is true, what a shame. Mariah is wealthy just as is Nick Cannon and instead of taking time off work to spend as much time with her kids as possible when they are young, Mariah is rushing back to work like she is a regular person. Does she not have enough millions in her bank account allowing her to value what is more important, her kids. Celebrities, they may appear happy, but their lives behind the scenes is so miserable… its so easy to put on a show. Don’t dream about the lives of celebrities people, its not all what’s cracked up to be.
