Mariah Sharapova is single again and she has been for sometime now and has kept it to herself up until now. Why ? oh, she was hoping that someone was going to ask her about her status with former NBA player Sasha Vujacic, because she is not a good initiator in speaking about herself. Since no one asked her about her status with Vujacic, Sharapova saw no reason to speak on the engagement being called off that has placed her back into the singles arena. And how long has it been since Sharapova and Vujacic called off their engagement, here is what she had to say:
“It’s been since the end of spring actually. I was waiting for someone to actually ask me that question, but nobody did directly. It was a really nice period of time for both of us, but our career schedules just made it extremely difficult to see each other with the traveling, and especially his career move to Turkey.
And Sharapova continues:
“He wasn’t home one time during the 10 months that he was in Turkey, so that made it extremely difficult.”
Vujacic had surprised Sharapova with a $250,000 engagement ring and the two had planned to marry in Turkey in November.
