There you go! Your new American Idol judges with one exception, Randy Jackson. Idol finally found a way around Nicki Minaj Pepsi deal problem. Yes, that’s Randy Jackson you’re looking at above… Randy is back as a judge on American Idol. It was reported earlier that Randy would not be returning to Idol as a judge, but allegedly Idol was unable to seal a deal with a new preferred judge, and as a result Randy Jackson has been signed to a returning contract on the judging panel.
Randy was said to be demoted to a mentor position as Idol was looking for a new face in pushing the show forward for new audience and to keep the show vibrant. Clearly, it doesn’t take much to persuade Randy, and now Idol knows they can kick Randy all over the place and he will take it. Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban becoming the new blend of judges on American Idol should be interesting on how they all jell.
Here is what Ryan Seacrest tweeted out after all the new American Idol judges were formed:
“It’s official, your new #IdolJudges are @MariahCarey, @NickiMinaj, @KeithUrban & @Yo_RandyJackson!”
Seeing that Maria Carey was rumored to not want Nicki Minaj on Idol, it would be interesting to see how the two interact with each other. Can you believe it, but it’s been 12 years since American Idol has been on the air. Are you getting tired of the show yet ?
