There has been much talk about long-time American Idol running judge Randy Jackson being fired, but this is really not true. Essentially, Randy Jackson got demoted on Idol to a mentoring position. The other thought being thrown around of Randy’s departure from the judging position is that it was his decision to leave the judging panel to mentor the singing hopefuls on Idol. This we don’t believe, for one its highly unlikely that Randy is getting the millions he was as a judge to now do mentoring, and its not like he has anything else in his life that’s bringing in the type of salary he was getting as a judge on Idol. It just doesn’t make sense that Randy would leave Idol as being reported by some outlets.
Our thoughts, Idol kicked Randy out as part of their mapping to refresh their judging panel. Knowing that Randy didn’t want to leave and he has been with the show since the beginning, Idol gave him another gig with the show, just our thoughts. However, It looks like American Idol may just have to take the ultimate step by firing Randy Jackson, because the loud whispers have been that Randy is not the right person for the mentoring role he has been demoted to. Its not a crazy thought, Randy is not a significant figure in the music business for any singer to really appreciate the comments from, so saying that Randy is not suited for the mentoring gig is not wrong at all for anyone say. Can we really picture Randy Jackson in a mentoring position ? Imagine, “hey dog, do it like this dog.”
