We get that they are buddies but come on.
We don’t know what Dwayne Wade has been drinking and not sharing, but it must really be good, because he is talking really crazy about Lebron James playing on Michael Jordan’s level. Winning 1 NBA championship doesn’t make Lebron on Michael Jordan’s level. For Dwayne Wade to make the comments that Lebron is playing at Michael Jordan’s level right now is to say that Lebron is playing better than Kobe Bryant and is better than Kobe. We all know that this is not true.
Anyone that follows the NBA knows Lebron is nowhere close to Kobe’s level of playing, so how can he be on Michael Jordan’s level as Wade is saying. Being on Jordan’s playing level means that you are dangerous from all points on the floor in knocking down shots consistently, not occasionally. Lebron is not deadly on all points of the floor and if a vote was to be taken, quite certainly the majority would select Kobe to have the ball in his hands with the clock winding down and not Lebron. It’s well known that Lebron chokes and rarely ever comes out on-top when he is needed, so how can he be on Jordan’s level of playing.
Here is what Wade had to say on how he came to the conclusion of Lebron being on Jordan’s level of playing in the NBA:
“Just watching LeBron play, I mean he’s just playing at a different gear right now,” Wade said. “That monkey is off his back and now he’s just playing basketball. I think we’ll continue to see a better LeBron James — it’s scary to say, a three-time MVP — than we’ve seen.
“And it’s because all he’s got to do is play basketball now. He doesn’t have to worry about what he hasn’t done, even though it will always be something. But he got the biggest one off this back. He played exceptionally well.”
Jordan well? That is a debate Wade called reasonable, but also still somewhat premature.
“He’s on that level,” Wade said, “but he has a lot more to do to get there. I think he understands he has an unbelievable opportunity to be one of the greatest to play this game. But that’s when he gets done playing, he can say that.
“Right now, he has so much more to cover in his career. He’s just getting started at the same time when Michael kind of just got started. We’ll see how it all shakes out. I hope it shakes out the same way. I’ll be a very happy man.”
