After Nicki Minaj endorsed Mitt Romney in one of her lyrical verses, this was enough to get the blogs boiling. I was never going to report on this nonsense, but the gullible belief by many that Nicki Minaj is supporting Mitt Romney, follows politics and knows what is going with middle class America is a joke. Remember people, action speaks louder than words. Nicki voting for Romney as she says in her lyrical content is just apart of her act in gaining attention for herself in going against the grain of the majority of middle class America, who scrape up their loose change to buy her album and keep the country fueling.
Nicki Minaj spills a lyrical verse in support of Mitt Romney which goes… “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/ You lazy bitches are f***ing up the economy, and people are going crazy. People, wake up. Look at Nicki, if you have ever listened to her music, there is nothing about her music that’s life-changing and touches on serious issues.
Rap is like a sport, and all Nicki is doing is playing with words that sound nice on a music track. Like any sport, the executor decides what kind of message he/she want to send to spectators from the start, and for Nicki musically, she chose the route of gimmicks.
Tupac Shakur on the on the other hand during his time with us touched on more serious issues in his music ranging from poverty, an unjust system, drugs, violence, and an unbalance system, so if we were to hear a message coming from someone like rapper Tupac executing political topics in songs, only then would a support for a particular political party spewed in a rap song be taken seriously. With her bubble gum songs, Nicki Minaj’s showing support for Mitt Romney cannot be taken seriously.
