Women in Toronto, Canada are being advised by authorities to take precaution when walking through the Bloor and Christie area and general areas at night after several reports being filed of a black male in the age range between 20- 30 medium built sexually assaulting women. As Toronto police search for the sick attacker, they urge women to have a walking partner, be vigilant and not walk through dark areas, but don’t tell this to Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s niece, Krista Ford as she believes that the ultimate solution for women to not be sexually abused by men is for women to stop dressing like whores.
Here is the message the Toronto Mayor’s niece tweeted amid the heightened sexual assault situation executed by a man that’s still at large:
“Stay alert, walk tall, carry mace, take self-defence classes & don’t dress like a whore” along with the tags “#DontBeAVictim” and “#StreetSmart.”
The misguided and ignorant advice by Miss Ford has received much backlash and since, Ford’s brother and father of Miss Ford, Councillor Doug Ford has stated that he has reprimanded his daughter for her comments. Oh did we mention that Ford’s daughter is a former lingerie football player. Yeah, a woman giving advice to other women not to dress like whores in public to avoid sexual abuse, but yet she wore revealing clothing in public. Just comical.
Since the tweet, Miss Ford has apologized saying:
“I didn’t mean to cause such an alarm and I apologize if I did. I just want women to be safe.”
Since her controversial tweet, Miss Ford has set her Twitter account to private, seemingly to save us from her senseless thoughts.
