Gross, disgusting, nasty, sick, and whatever other words you want to use to describe this real life crime, go ahead, because it’s truly a case that’s disturbing beyond belief. A Florida man, Tyree Lincoln Smith, 35,(seen above) was arrested for slaughtering a Connecticut man, Angel L. Gonzalez to death and then eating one of Gonzalez’s eyes and part of his brain.
It was Smith’s cousin who informed authorities of what his condition was as he returned home with blood on his hands, pants and an axe he had been carrying. According to Smith’s cousin, Smith told her that he had been sleeping on a porch at an abandoned home when he was awakened by an Hispanic man and was invited inside.
This is when Smith confessed to his cousin and described the beating he laid on Gonzalez’s face and head with an axe and then took one of Gonzalez eyes, skull and part of his brain, which he ate at a cemetary close by. Upon hearing the story, Smith’s cousin stated that she called his mother who then informed police of the crime and stated that her son has mental issues, which was mentioned in an affidavit.
With a crime as this, law enforcement officials were not taking any chances and took Smith into custody under Federal, state and local law enforcement officers backing.
