… that is just what white man Felix Baumgartner did yesterday, creating a whole lot of buzz after his successful free fall and landing to earth from the edge of space. Baumgartner had a helium-filled balloon carry him an approximate 128,000 feet up into the stratosphere where he opened the door of the capsule carrying him, and then jumped, free falling for 4 minutes and traveling at speeds of up to 729 mph.
During his descend, Baumgartne’s body began to spin out of control, the very thing many were afraid of, but due to his experience in skydiving, Baumgartner was able to get his body under control, and aimed it in the direction he wanted to continue falling in before pulling his parachute.
