Ramsey, who is a nurse originally from Hitchin, Hertfordshire has been suffering from a condition called Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD), and according to Dr David Goldmeier, he sees 20 women a year with this condition. The occurrence of PGAD began in 2008 after Ramsey had sex with her then boyfriend. However, Ramsey’s constant orgasms is believed to have been activated by an accident she had in 2001 where she fell down some stairs.
The fall down the stairs is believed to have led to a Tarlov cyst on Ramsey’s spine, the location where a woman’s orgasm originates. When it comes to sex and reaching that climax, the woman has to actually be thinking of the moment and be zoned in, not Ramsey. Ramsey says she easily gets aroused and reaches an orgasm by the simple jerk and vibration while sitting on a train. As for what Ramsey has done to make her consistent orgasms go away, here is what she had to say:
‘We tried everything to make it stop. Squats, deep breathing, I even sat on frozen peas but the orgasms and sexual arousal continued for 36 hours – I must have had around 200 orgasms during that period. The pain and exhaustion was excruciating.’
Doctors currently have no cure to help women such as Ramsey experiencing Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder, but Ramsey is keeping hope that a specialist will be able to help her as she has a meeting to see a PGAD expert in London next month. As of the moment, Ramsey is working, but having orgasms non stop throughout the day she believes will limit her ability to work. PGAD has already destroyed her chances of having a relationship, so she is working hard for solutions in keeping her condition at bay.
