Ubran & Alternative Music

For a decade we have been waiting for Dr Dre’s next club banger and just maybe if we are all good he will give it to us for a Christmas present. He is hopeful that he will be able to release his hot ticket awaited album by the end of the year.  This is what the Doctor of sounds said when asked about the follow-up to Chronic 2001 as to when it would arrive:

“That’s a good question. In a perfect world, you know I’m really trying to make Christmas, but we’ll see,” adding, “Something will definitely be out.”

We are crossing our fingers

Even behind bars Lil Wayne’s competition cannot contain him, his “I Am Not a Human Being” is affecting many in the music industry. It continues to be the top selling album on itunes and is considered to impress on the album charts. All of this accomplishment while Wayne is in prison. It clearly shows that he is well respected in the hip hop community and is now seen as a global front man for hip hop- producing songs that relates to many and not narrowed to one demographic. If Wayne gets in the Billboard top 200 hundred, he will join 2pac as the only artist to top the album chart while in prison.  What an accomplishment to achieve when you cannot promote yourself or your album.

Jamaican musician Buju Banton who recently had a mistrial on drug distribution and firearms accusations still remains behind bars today while his attorney makes an attempt to make bail as the next trial date is decided. The new trial is said to be sometime in December but no exact date is known as of yet. Should the next trial be determined as a mistrial also, Buju will be set free and the case will be thrown out.

As his fans I am grateful that a mistrial was determined, but I cannot say that I am as hopeful as they are that Buju will be set free in his second trial. It is quite said as to what our justice system has become, having and attempting to put a person behind bars for a crime that they did not commit or just does not add up accordingly to the lavish honest life that they have assumed over the years from the honest living of their careers is just wrong. The history of the government I believe is that if they lose the first round, they will win the second round. Buju’s fans and supporters should expect the high possibility that he will be found guilty, because since his incarceration, the system has not shown a whole lot of fairness to him as they would to other celebrities. Having said all that, I do hope that I am proven wrong and that Buju is set free in December.

What do you think will happen?

Smell a lawsuit coming

Has Drake not learned anything from Lil Wayne’s Incarceration and the advice Wayne has given him during the course of his prison sentence?  There are always two sides to a story, but if  Drake assualted along with his bodyguard assaulted these people as they are claiming, this is totally unacceptable. Was his life in immediate danger? We highly doubt this. Aggression towards others by a bodyguard should only be applied in the event of danger to their client or themselves. As for Drake, come on man, let your bodyguard take care of whatever problem you were encountering. That is what your paying him for. Now, your about to lose some fans and at least some thousand of dollars.  This type of behaviour that is being reported is so unlike Drake  . The guy that was injured stated that he only wants his hospital bills paid for and is not looking for a whole lot of money, but we think once he sees a lawyer, his talk will change and he will want way more money for all the reasons you can think of. Lets see, emotiona stress, days missed from work, public embarrasment, pain and suffering… you have any you want to add?

A mistrial has been declared by the judge in the trial case against Reggae Superstar Buju Banton, after a 12 member jury was unable to come to a verdict. Buju is facing charges of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine and illegal possession of a firearm in the furtherance of a crime. He has been in jail since December 2009, and to this date has not been considered or granted bail. We cannot help but notice how buju has been treated unfairly, as a celebrity figure, a professional entertainer, well known in the hip hop community and in other areas within the music industry and for what he is being accused of, he should be shown some respect and be  granted bail.  Even the way he is hustled into court in chain cuffs, this is not neccessary, he is not a serial killer and their should be a level common decency.

The person(s) who is looking and is getting off on putting Buju through hell, clearly is working hard so that he does not get the media attention someone of  Buju’s calibre receives. The way how the case is going, it truly seems as though someone is out to get Buju and this is absolutely unacceptable and not a system of free justice.  The thought that he has not been granted bail when there are suspected killers on our streets who have been given this right priviliage, is just absurd.

Especially knowing that the jury could not find him guilty of what he is being accused of, there should be a ground of compassion for him to be freed on bail. As a matter of fact, he should be freed entirely. It is quite evident that the system is doing all they can to find Buju guilty. Why use the term mistrial, if you accused one of doing something and you cannot prove it, that person should be left alone. Jamaicans and his fans should not be jumping for any kind of joy but only feeling a sense of relief right now, because the system always appears to have the upper-hand and seeing how Buji had been treated unfairly in jail in regards to his religion, not being respected in what he has to eat and what he is being accused of that land him there.  It is nerve racking watching the case, not knowing what to suspect or what lies will be presented or what will be tweaked to convict him wrongly. Buju is a successful entertainer who has made millions of dollars over the years and has many things in life that he has genuinely purchased which many of us could only dream of, why would he get into the drug trade at this height of his career and after and while making making millions from his music career?

Somebody is seriously working overtime to convict an innocent man of a crime he did not commit. The prosecutor(s), jury, and the courts need to really think about what they are doing to Buju. This is not your everyday person who is living a struggling life and looking for some fast cash, this is man with a net worth of millions of dollars. Why would he engage in the drug trade? Let’s be real here people and use your common sense, it is not just what you are presented with to believe if someone is guilty, it is also the combination of using your common sense. Buju is an iconic figure throughout the world and a wealthy person; there is no reason for him to being entering the drug trade.

The thing that needs to be understood by the  general public when it comes to celebrity status is the jealousy, extorting,   harm, and entrapment that often plaque the rich and famous by those with their agenda to harm or to punish for only reasons known to the doer. When did it become right to punish someone for their thoughts, this is suppose to be a country of freedom- punishing this man for his thoughts, goes against all that  America stands for. Please have a heart, use common sense and not just only apply what is stored before you.  Please use the system for what it is intended for and not for vengeance.  Free Buju Banton back to his fans worldwide and to his people of Jamaica

If you have listen to buju and have been a supporter of his career, this is the time he needs you the most, spread get the message out there by spreading this article and expressing yourself for his freedom of a crime he is being wrongly accused of.

Holly shit! How did Jermaine Jackson become so broke? From having millions in the bank to now stating that his monthly income is under 1,000. He has children to support and is suppose to make child support payments to his baby momma, Alejandra in the amount of 3,000 on a monthly basis but is now asking the courts to drop the payments down to 215 dollars a month.

What the hell is that? That is peanuts, especially a person of his status, you would think he understands the security and other interest of his kids. Jermaine states that Alejandra is actually earning more than him and she saves money by not paying any rent since she and the kids live with Katherine Jackson. What kind of f**k up shit is this. Why his ex is living under his mother’s roof while receiving child support from him does not make any sense at all. Starting to wonder how whipped he is.  To conserve his money, maybe if he stopped using so much of that jell shit in his hair, he would have more money. Let’s hope he is not waiting and looking to bank off Michael’s estate.
